Acceleration performance is one of the important parameters used to evaluate the vehicle dynamics. This paper presents the experimental results on acceleration performance of Hyundai Starex car on Chassis Dynamometer at Light Duty Test Cell of National Motor Vehicle Emission Test Center/Vietnam Register. Test results include real-time characteristics such as velocity, vehicle acceleration, and traction force at the drive wheels. In addition, to determine the driver's control signal (accelerator pedal position, clutch and gear position) and engine speed, the authors used ELM327 devices. The testing results are used to evaluate and calibrate model which simulates dynamics of Hyundai Starex van.
